Bellagio Lunar New Year

Bellagio Lunar New Year

Bellagio Las Vegas

Las Vegas

For Bellagio, we created an artistic and architectural installation that brought together three distinct elements: a giant Japanese carp, large-scale reproductions of traditional jade medallions, and a gazebo for Lunar New Year celebrations.

Giant Japanese Carp
Challenge : The fish had to be 100% waterproof in order to be installed in a pond.
Solution : 3D printing (naturally waterproof material), digital modeling to adjust the position, and printing in various sizes to validate the finish and placement. A cost-effective alternative to traditional fiberglass.

Traditional Jade Medallions
Challenge : Create the illusion of real jade while keeping the pieces as lightweight as possible in a giant, suspended format.
Solution : 3D printing for lightness, cutting into multiple assembled parts, and patina to complete the illusion. Without 3D printing, the characteristic translucency of jade would have been much more difficult to achieve.

Lunar New Year Gazebo
Challenge : Produce 4 custom-made corner pieces from 2D drawings, potentially all different.
Solution : Digital 3D sculpting for total flexibility in the shape of each piece, easy individual adjustment, and direct printing from the 3D model → saving time and effort compared to traditional molding.
